September 3rd - 18th, 2004 Biro will premiere at The Market Theatre in Johannesburg, South Africa for a limited engagement. The play will then tour through Durban and Mafikeng, where in conjunction with the play Ntare will conduct a series of theater based HIV/AIDS advocacy workshops.


July 21st - 29th, 2004 At the invitation of Doctor's Without Borders Ntare will develop a series of performance pieces to commemorate the second anniversary of the introduction of antiretroviral (ARV) therapy for people living with HIV/AIDS in Arua, Uganda. Brigadiere Jim Muhwezi, Minister of Health, and Mr. Stephen Lewis, the United Nations Special Envoy to HIV/AIDS in Africa will be the honored guests at the commemoration event on July 29th.


July 5th, 2004 - At the invitation of Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi and Jeffrey Sachs of the Earth Institute, Biro will be performed at the African Union summit meeting in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to an audience which will include United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan as well as thirty African Heads of State.
